Your membership with EFE also makes you a member of our national organization, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), which provides you with $1,000,000 in professional liability insurance. You also have membership in our state affiliate, AFT Michigan, as well as the AFL-CIO. Numerous benefits are offered by these organizations that you can access to improve the quality of your profession and your life. After one year of EFE membership, you may access the EFE sick bank in the event of a qualifying extended illness.

We value your contributions.

Our Collective Bargaining Agreement covers 164 teachers and 35 Paraprofessionals (as of Fall 2020).  We are inclusive in our practices and strive to create a sense of belonging.
